Hi, I have a small strip of soil approx 5 ft wide by 30 ft long dividing both my garden from the next door neighbours. For the last number of years I have been trying to grow roses and/or small shrubs etc., however,my neighbour, who doesn't give a damn, is quite happy to tolerate weeds, dog sh1t and litter on his side of the boundary, which due to the lie of the land, ensures that it eventually encroaches into my side of the property.

Would any of you green fingered geniuses have any ideas to rectify this problem or could ye recommend any fast growing ground cover, that may 'take over' the area. I don't believe that those next door would even notice such an 'incursion',although I do believe they would object if I put up a wall etc.

    Thanks, Ben.

Rubus tricolour. Fast growing and easy to keep in check.
