Looking forward to this tomorrow night. With Andy Boyle being out for the Pats game next week I wouldnt be surprised to see him not play tomorrow, so Gartland and Rossiter (most likely be him) can get 90 mins ahead of whats a far bigger game next week
Hoban is also out untill after the break so David McMillian (who has 8 goals and barely played) will get his chance

Reckon we might get the win 2-1

The St Patricks derby takes place in Richmond Park in case anyone was wondering.

I'm not entirely sure how good CYFC are but they did get to the LSC final in 2012 beating UCD and Bray along the way and only losing 1-0 to Shams in the final so they cant be that bad. But if we play like we did against Derry and Drogs I would be fairly confident of victory. Wouldnt be surprised if we make a few changes to Mondays team ahead of the big match up in Oriel next week.

Wish we would get an away draw against a division 1 or non league side. Should be a good game at the Bowl tomorrow. Galway seem to be getting on a good run of form and have a great chance. Haven't beaten a league side in the FAI Cup in 4 years.

    Actually I can.

Kind of funny the draw threw up the two Pats and the two Dublin Hoops together.

Hoping Waterford knock us out or we just play a weakened side and win!

St. Pats CY were very poor in the second half of the LSL this season.

With only Cobh to play until 3 weeks time, I would like to see us play the first team and get back to form ahead of Cobh next week. Don't really fancy going into our next league game 4 games without a win. Just need to avoid injuries.

After Derry's poor start they should focus now on just the Cup

Are Shamrock Rovers B not in this?

If this rain continues in Cork, I could easily see the game tonights being postponed. Its pretty torrential all morning and forecast to be like this all weekend.

Handy win for Dundalk tonight, easily beat a depleted Sligo side who seemed bereft of ideas,Gaz Rogers again their best player !.Current Chesterfield & former Sligo manager Paul Cook was in the stand btw.

    Pats CY keeper was MOM.

We were a bit lazy but never embarrass junior sides always 3-0 then finish out the game.

Hoare landed badly from a header and was stretchered off screaming in pain, bad news for us means Oman plays vs Dundalk ir Hoare isnt fit.

Three first divisions teams played premier teams, and all of them won :cool::cool:

We truly are a terrible team this season.

Bray can definitely count themselves lucky too, if last night's performance was anything to go by. They never looked like a Premier division team.

Remain confident/hopeful that Bray will be in that playoff position come the end of the season.

Great morale boosting win for Bohs ahead of some big games in the league. Badly needed that.

Cake, and grief counseling, will be available at the conclusion of the test

    Great goal

That's what Keegan adds to the team that we've missed the last few weeks with his injury, Connolly back from the U19 International duty too, hopefully kicks our title challenge back into shape.

Bohs win again when I'm not there. It can't be coincidence at this stage. Might have to stay at home for the game out in Bray now. ;)

Third Round of the FAI Ford Cup will take place on Friday, July 25 in Co Westmeath during the FAI AGM and Festival of Football week. The time and venue for the draw will be confirmed later.

There are 15 teams already through. They are; Avondale United, Ballynanty Rovers, Bohemians, Cork City, Derry City, Drogheda United, Dundalk, Finn Harps, Galway, Longford Town, Malahide United, St Patrick’s Athletic, Shamrock Rovers, Shelbourne, Wexford Youths.

The 16th place is to be decided in a second round replay between St Michaels and UCC.

UCC were beaten 4-2 by St Michaels (of Tipperary, I believe) in the 2nd round replay. So St Michales are the 16th and final team in to the 3rd Round of the FAI Cup.

Home draw to Bohs. Will take that.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,974 ✭✭✭✭Gavin "shels"

I'd give a testicle for us to knock Pats out tbh!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 53,262 ✭✭✭✭GavRedKing

St Michaels v Avondale means there'll be at least 1 non LOI team in the 4th round.

Or to make it sound more glamorous - 1 non league team in the Quarter Finals!

Horrible draw away to Dundalk in every sense for Galway.:(
