Is that just for monitoring or monitoring and maintenance.
Shop around, if its monitoring only you will get a bit cheaper.

no its just monitoring , I was looking at a site advertising radio monitoring seemingly not effected by jammers or cut wires ? I have a wireless internal system , would I be right in thinking that a jammer would disable this system before it ever got to the stage of transmitting to the station anyway ? understand if you prefer not answer this in a public forum, sensitive info !

The jammer you are referring too is to do with if you have a GSM installed. It stops the signal from the alarm contacting the monitoring station if you are using GSM as a communication device. This device blocks all mobile phone signals. Some GSMs have jam detect detect so will log this event in your system logs, others don't so just depends on the system you have installed along with the GSM itself.

The radio signal is harder to block and does cost a lot more.

Dual com use a GSM connected to Smart monitoring, these devices are jammable but the Dual com is looking for this. There are a few version available. One that polls 5 times a day or you can have one that polls every 3 minutes. If 5 polls from this device is missed it is flagged at the monitoring station. The first one is 5 polls in 24 hours. Its like a 24 hour test call. With the second one it is 15 minutes before it is flagged. Still better than no signal from the alarm at all.

Ahh if you were to listen to everybody nothing is 100% secure. Its about what fits your budget & gives you the security you want.
You can have a closed radio network, which may be more secure but its more expensive. You can also have good GSM polling every few minutes for a goo bit less . Standard monitoring like yours via a land line is averaging at €150 a year without a maintenance contract. Some company's insist on maintenance contract if you have monitoring. You could get that covering all call outs and labour with your monitoring for around €300

Hi is there any company in South County Dublin that you could recommend for this by PM, it's just new a new batterery and a monitoring contract. It's a Simon phonewatch system

Most licenced companies would happily be able to look after that system for you.
