BMW Service light

I got my e90 3 series serviced last weekend at my (trusted) indy dealer. All good.

However, when I switch the car on, the service message flashes momentarily with "1400 miles" with the message. It's not a warning light but an information message in the dashboard console.

When I go through the "Check" option on the dashboard, it comes up as "Ok".

Is it a case of my mechanic just resetting a code or is this a normal message? I don't need another service in 1400 miles!!

    Thanks!!
