Cycle to work scheme question

Quick question on the cycle to work scheme. My employer is in the scheme, however payment is a single payment in full (minus tax break) from the following months wages

I would love to get a bike but if I went for the max €1k I'd have a bill of ~€700 coming from my salary the next month. I wouldnt be interested in less as I want to maximize what I can get on the scheme

I was told that employers must offer monthly payments (6 or 12) and weren't allowed to take it all in one lump sum

I already looked around for info to no avail....

Anyone know what the deal is? Would prefer to have something solid to take to HR if it is the case that payments must be split

    Thanks

Megathread is that away to ask these types of questions, but from memory I think the employer is entitled to do it the way you have described, but they are limited at the other end of the scale whereby the salary sacrifice arrangement can only last for a maximum of 12 months.
