You could try an alcohol based sunscreen perhaps?

The Ambre Solaire Clear protect does not leave white marks. Its reduced to 5.99 in Argos at the moment. http://www.argos.ie/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/Search?storeId=10152&catalogId=14551&langId=111&searchTerms=ambre+solaire+clear&authToken=

Make sure your suncream is well soaked in before you put on your shirt.

I have found that nearly all suncreams leave marks on clothes, particularily my son's clothes as he is very fair. I just avoid putting "good" tops on him when I have plastered him in suncream. Maybe a run of cheap shirts from pennys or tescos that you don't mind ruining.

Fair play for putting on suncream - a lot of men I know don't bother with suncream and prefer to show off their red farmers tan and burnt arms and necks
