First four-person zip wire opens in Wales

Europe's only four-person zip line - which will see thrillseekers fly downover a total of five miles - opens to the public in Snowdonia

The Zip World Titan gives thrillseekers the chance to soar in unison at speeds of up to 60 miles per hour.

The new zip line at Llechwedd Slate Caverns near the historic mining town of Blaenau Ffestiniog is the third zip line in Snowdonia run by Zip World. The company launched Zip World Velocity in 2013, the longest zipline in the northern hemisphere that reaches speeds of up to 100mph.

That looks like fun. There's a great one in Oslo I'd love to try too where in the summer they have a zip line going from the top of the Holmenkollen ski-jump hill. Not as long as the Welsh one maybe but steeper looking.

I wouldn't mind having a go at that. It looks completely safe ....... you are not controlled by the vagaries of the weather.

I'd like to give it a go, but realistically, who is going to travel to Snowdonia for a 10 minute swing on a zip line?

if that went any slower you might fall asleep on the way down

There's a lot more to do in Snowdonia than just that.

Fair play to the Welsh for naming that mountain after whistle-blower Edward Snowden.
