Hi all, I will be hopefully starting a job bridge internship in the next few weeks and wondering is there any help I can get as I have to move away from home from this. Is there any way I could get rent assistance or some sort of help to pay for rent etc?

If you were already in receipt of Rent Supplement you can retain it while on JobBridge but to commence receiving Rent Supplement you have to qualify in the usual way i.e., be renting already for six months having been able to afford the rent when the tenancy started and having since suffered a change of circumstance (loss of earnings) since commencing OR be approved by a Local Authority as being in need of social housing.
