I have a 2005 Berlingo and the same problem since a radio was installed two years ago, could never get to the root of the problem either. Now the speedo has stopped working as part of it's electronic faults. Interior lights come on occasionally, brake lights only work half the time, intermittent electrical problems and no end in sight to them despite bringing it to different electrical guys. I just think it's the Berlingo itself and it's rubbish electrics.

I just had the ecu/bsi unit on my c4 replaced. At first the mechanic tried to do it cheap using a spare one from another model but it didn't work. Lights weren't working right, wipers etc. Problem was that they couldn't map the incorrect unit. I have a suspicion that if you have connected a new radio perhaps it can't be mapped correctly to the system?

Did you take the radio back out again to see if things went back to normal?
