Flail mower

    Hi,
    anyone know a flail mower to hire for a weekend in Sligo or Leitrim? Checked the quotes from HSS, not bad, but the delivery service costs make it a deal breaker..:eek:

    hi,
    one for the *garden*. i have 42 acres of land, but not all of it is covered in rushes, only about12 acres and it's spots everywhere.Tactor done it last year and left half of it standing cause couldn't reach it. Rather do it by hand with one of those so i can get it all...the b**** things.

    Doubter did you get a compact tractor or a regular one to get rid of those rushes? A friend of mine got a Yanmar compact tractor with a heavy duty flail mower and he says he can get with it everywhere. What was the problem at your site? Why couldn't it reach the rushes, was that a problem with size of the tractor?
