Looking at upgrading our Avensis to one of these to cope with our kids and their friends on trips etc.

Anyone here have one, either 1.6 or 1.8 Petrol?

What are they like to live with, thanks.

My wife has an 04 Verso, owned from new and done about 120,000 miles. The 1.6 is underpowered, but it's been reliable and economical (38mpg on mostly short journeys).

Its only marginally worse on petrol than an avensis. I think they're a great car. Even if you don't need all the seats.

Apparently so, par for the course with many 7 seaters.

Anyone have an idea of the total bootspace with the rear two seats folded flat?

I have the later model and the boot is pretty big with the rear 2 seats down. We can get the buggy (baby jogger) in lengthways which leaves over half the boot floor free. We were looking at changing recently and we couldn't do it in a Yeti, Mazda CX-5 or crv.

I've the 2.0d and get ~40 mpg. I think the petrol would be a fair bit worse.
