Recommend an eco washing machine?

    My washing machine has gone kaput. Having never bought one before (this one came with the house) what factors should I look for when choosing an eco-friendly machine?

    Should I go for a steam washer?

    Recommend any make in particular?

    Budget is up to 550. Cheers!

    Anything with A rating would be eco.

    Is steam washer worth it to save on future water bills? Any downsides of the steam ones?

    They all seem to be A rated these days.
