So, I was wondering if anyone here who has completed this course, is about to do it or is repeating could tell me what the booklists are in third year for English and/or Anthropology?

I know you get sent a list at the end of the summer but I just want to know what was done this year because they're usually the same anyway. Or if you know where I can find a list. I've already tried looking on the Department pages but can't find any information.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Going into third year, but I got some suggestions from friends who finished third year English. For first semester they told me to definitely look at the first 6 chapters of Ulysses and a T.S. Eliot poem "The Waste Land" as well as "Birth of a Nation" for the Film module. Second semester, as far as I know Animal Farm, and Beloved are worth a read. Can't speak for Anthropology unfortunately.

It's not as overwhelming as it looks!
EN351 you can just do one theorist, that'll cover you for the essay and exam
EN352 you can just do one text for the exam, seminars have a separate book list
    EN353 one book
    EN354 Two texts
    EN355 Three texts

So that's 8 texts (minimum) and the ones for your seminars, not that bad! :P
