eglobalcentral.eu - AVOID AT ALL COSTS

Hi all, I purchased a LG g2 smartphone from eglobal towards the end of April. They shipped it out fast enough however the problems began as soon as I got the phone. The phone was not sealed in any way (even though they state that all of the products on their website is 100% brand new) and even worse, the handset was faulty (I can hear buzzing noise when I make a call through the front speaker)

I launched a RMA, at first they seemed really speedy to answer my questions however when I asked them that I wanted to return it since its faulty, they became really slow (10+ working days for a response is outrageous) I really did feel that they were trying just to make me wait over the paypal claim limit window so I would really screwed then. I launched a dispute and today papyal ruled in my favour and now I have to return the item.

Now this is where the problems lie - to return the item to Hong Kong (fully insured) will cost me at minimum, €60. Is there anything I can do to get them to try and pay this?

Anyways, just a word of warning to you all not to buy off this crowd. They lure you in with good prices and just abandon you afterwards if something goes wrong.

You probably should have posted this in Consumer Issues.

It seems your question is how to not pay for return to HK?
Can't paypal help with that as part of your dispute?

just had a look at the paypal page and it states that "You are responsible for shipping and handling costs" :(

Out of interest, does anpost offer additional insurance on packages shipped outside of the EU ? I can't really find anything on the site

Know of any other cheap couriers ?

Just got an update from this crowd stating in a email when question about me getting my shipping costs refunded:

"...customer is required to return the item to us at customer cost, please advise the tracking no to us once you have sent back the item, thanks"

    :(

Also a further problem, I'm 99% sure An Post will not allow you post a phone overseas due to restrictions on any products with a battery.

Getting it overseas wasn't a problem - I used a private courier (hence why it was so expensive to ship) to send it over. Anpost wouldn't touch it yeah.

I got a refund though paypal but I'm still out the shipping costs. I've talked to a supervisor on the site chat and notified him of the problems. In all fairness, he actually seems to be taking some sort of interest on the case. I will keep this thread updated anyway.
