The Irish International Jugger tournament is nearly here so don’t miss your chance to to see a fun and exciting sport in action. Teams from Ireland, Spain, Germany and America will all be gathering to compete in this fast paced game on the 7th and 8th of June at Wanderers Rugby Club. The sport of Jugger is great experience for competitors and spectators alike and is often described as resembling a combination of rugby and fencing. The game is played in teams of five with the matches being competitive but good natured. The tournament is being hosted by the Setanta Jugger Club, who have represented Ireland at numerous international Jugger tournaments and are eager now to to do so once again in their home country. This will also mark the first time an American Jugger team has competed in a European tournament making for an extra special event. So please come join us and enjoy all the challenge, spectacle and fun that Jugger has to offer. The tournament is free for spectators.

If you’d like to learn more about how the sport is played then please check out the video linked below as an introduction. Credit to Linus Smid for his fantastic work.
