Travelling to work from Westside to Loughrea

Hi all... I am moving to Galway and have found accommodation in the Westside - Rahoon/ Salthill area. I will be travelling to work in Loughrea monday to friday every morning for 9pm. I have a car which I need to use in the workplace. I was wondering if someone could give me advice on what time i would need to leave at and what would be the easiest route?

Leaving in the morning for 9pm? It won't take that long :pac:

Over the Quincentennial and take the M6 I'm guessing be best bet

As soon as you get past the workplaces on the east side of the city you'll be travelling against the traffic, and there's a shiney new motorway for you to use with no tolls between here and Loughrea. I have no idea how long it would take - Google Maps (below) says 38 mins, but at peak time the Rahoon to Ballybrit leg will take longer than usual.

Depending on where your accommodation is, either over the Qun Bridge - or maybe even through Claddagh, Wolfe Tone Bridge, Merchants Rd, Bohermore, Tuam Rd, Bothár na whatsit-Eastern-Distributor-Rd, to the motorway.

I go from Salthill to Ballybrit every day it takes approximately 25 mins through the Claddagh and town. Once you pass Ballybrit your on the motorway add about another 25 mins max and you will be in Loughrea
