Places you previously lived

Do any of you go on Daft, to look and see if your old room is up for rent again, or properties you know went on the market, see if they have been sold?

I admit I've been a bit obsessive about this. My old bedroom in Harolds Cross was available again within three months of me leaving. I have seen my old house in Balbriggan gone up for 150 euro more than we rented it at, with my bin and my toaster in the pics! I think I also spotted a small green feather on the bed in the pic, reminders that my little bird lived there for while too. I Googled my grandad's old house and even the newspapers reported that it had sold for well over it's auction price.

I often have dreams about these old places I lived in, and picture perfect memories of the places. I have rented in ten places now in fourteen years.

So, AH, do you still remember, or google, the places you used to live in?

I do this. A flat myself and my boyfriend rented when we first moved to London was up for rent again about 2 years after we moved out. It was being marketed with the photographs they took when we were leaving. You could see photos of us and all our stuff. I can only imagine that whoever was living there at the time didn't leave it in a fit state to take new pictures.

The last place we rented in Ireland went into receivership and I sometimes check to see if it's for sale. I haven't seen it yet, I'd love to buy it though if I could!

I've lived in loads of places in 3 different countries and had great times in all of them, lots of happy memories, but not once has it occurred to me to have a look back at the places themselves.

I've seen the same, also in balbriggan.lots of pics of stuff i left behind, even my bed!! i rented unfurnished, but left half the stuff there, popped up on daft or myhome.ie a month or two later,as a 'tastefully furnished' one bed,and the rent had climbed €110!!! Its quite likely we were dealing with the same person :)
