Discount on a damaged repairable

    Im thinking of getting a damaged but fixed car, its a high spec 09 golf and had a light frontal hit. Its fully certified repaired is there any risk long term with buying one. I usally hang on to cars for a long time 7 to 10 years.. so resale does not concern me.

    Maybe insurance implications, as an insurance company has already paid out on that car and then effectively written it off as a Category C or D claim.

    I would advise contacting your own insurance company about this.
