Nice chairs, who stocks them in Ireland?

There are quite a few places if you just google Fama Ireland. I got mine in Maddens Furniture in Ennis

Moon chairs are amazing but they are very expensive.

The lounger and ottoman by Charles Eames would tick the box for comfort, I've sat in one and they are really relaxing. I'm also a fan of the Bibbendum chair by Eileen Grey, it's not exactly a lounger but there's something classic and timeless about it.

A genuine eames lounge chair will set you back a good whack but you can get a decent replica for about €1K.
It was top of my list when I got my house. I even slept in it a couple of nights 'til my bed arrived.
    Stylish and comfortable!

Yeah a mate of mine paid €5k for an original Eames chair, I was astounded by the price but having sat in it often enough I can see it's value - it is simply comfort, elegance and style combined and as he says he'll be sitting in it for the next 40 years so money well spent as far as he's concerned. I have seen replicas for them as low as €500 though at that price you'd have to question the type of leather used and the comfort. Still though I'd say if you shop clever you can find a superb replica for under €1000

The Bibbendum chair by Eileen Grey is a different type of chair, it's not so much a lounger as a piece of art. One of her Dragon chairs recently sold for €22m so my guess is an original Bibbendum chair would go for even more ! Still though there are good replicas about for under €800. Next time I'm in London I'm defintely going to find a place that sells them just to try it out. I love the Eileen Gray story too, she grew up in Wexford before moving to London and becoming the first ever female admitted to the London School of Arts, she led a bohemian lifestyle and moved onto Paris before designing her masterpiece, a house perched up on high cliffs outside Monte Carlo. The house was built in the 1930's and was decades ahead of its time- most modern architects lend from concepts coined by Eileen Grey. Her love life was even more complex and is a soap opera in itself, this girl really led an extraordinary life. Nowadays her designs and furniture trade hands for millions and are timeless classics, she came a long way from Wexford.

I'm writing this sitting on a EGG by FRITZ HANSEN, and I can say it's very very comfy. I'll buy one as soon as I've some 5k spare cash ;)
