    Hi all,

Have used this forum a good bit and found it a great help, thanks. For the past 18months I've been a social golfer, playing when weather has been nice, getting a few lessons, hitting the driving range and playing most weekends. I'm living in South Dublin, but am not a member anywhere. (I'd imagine I'm between 18-20 handicap)

Last weekend I played in an annual competition between a big group of my friends, (team event) I'd be practising a lot leading up to it but played very poorly, let the team down and really knocked my confidence and left me demoralised. So now, I'm thinking the only way to improve is join a club, get an official handicap, play competitions and get more consistent.

Can anyone recommend a club that's not too expensive (around €1000) in South Dublin/Wicklow area that will be easy to get in to and get to know people. It's a big commitment so want to make the right decision.

    Thanks for your help
