    Hi.

So my car has this rear bumper

Does anyone know is this bumper

    dyD1mcf.jpg

the same bumper but with those extra bits on the side, or a different bumper altogether?

If it is different will it fit in replacement of the one above and if so would it look odd without the sideskirts?

If you're getting a bumper get a facelift one with the black slat going across the back.

They're just stuck on the bottom of it.

Did the facelift version come in dark green do you know?

It did, but happily nobody bought them :)
You'd get the odd terra model in oasis green, but I've never ever seen a strata (the one with the bumper spats) model in that colour.

Even without the trims, its a nicer looking bumper.

This bumper is beyond a diy repair yeah?

Would it be worth anything at all to anyone?

Price a spray on it. You probably won't get a mint replacement anyway and may not be happy with it.

Your own bumper is worth a very small amount as if anyone was sourcing one to fix a car it would probably be sprayed anyway.

Id get that bumper repainted instead of replacing it.

I wouldn't put a facelift bumper on it either. Yes they are nicer looking but it will take away from the cars originality.

And if you decide to sell on in the future it will stick out like a sore thumb to anyone that knows their cars.

I was planing on trying to buy the bumper off this.

He won't take 40 euro and I'm on a very tight budget so was thinking of offering my bumper and something? Or am I way off?

They are spats, you can get spurious ones for €100. IMO it looks dodgy to have them without the skirts as the whole kit came as OEM on high spec models.

As said already, get a quote to spray your own bumper. See what your options are then :)

He could keep the spats, unless they leave holes in the bumper :)

If they're Toyota ones that were on it since day 1 (which I assume they are) then yeah, the bumper will have 3 holes drilled into it :(

With respect, its a standard model 1.4 Corolla. Its not on antiques roadshow.

    Pott/Kettle

If a car like that came up in the bangernomics thread sporting a different bumper or mismatched paint you'd be the first to knock it.
