Another lost log book question

    About 15 years ago I bought a 1981 Mini on an Irish reg intending to restore it. Parked in shed at fathers house and subsequently I moved to UK. I'm back now and want to try and put it back on the road but problem is fellow I bought from never posted off change of ownership.

    I don't have his contact details, beyond his locality, he may not even still be alive!

    Has anyone had this problem before and if so how did you solve getting the car transferred into your name? Thanks!

    Think I've sorted it, after ringing round the houses of shannon and local tax office, I found someone helpful who seemed to know how to solve the problem.
