Head wrecked - what to buy??!!

    hi everyone - some suggestions if possible in case I'm overlooking a type of car.

    In the last 4 years I've had a 2008 M3, 2006 630i and a 2012 520D. I'm currently buying a house so in March the 520D was sold.

    I'm facing a bigger mortgage, wife potentially having a baby in the next year or two… and I can't choose a car. My max budget one minute is 30k then I panic and say stop being mad, spend 10k max as you'll need the money down the line for other non car stuff (the real life things :roll eyes:).

    I've looked online (and a few in person) at the following…
    2008/09 635Ds (really love the power of them), an older 520D, A5 sport back/coupe, MK5/6 GTI, 2005/06 X5, E46 M3s, 2010/11 E92 320D, 2008/2009 E92 335D… I don't need 4 doors and I'd probably prefer 2 in many of the above options but I'm just at a complete loss as to what to narrow it down to.

    Any thoughts?!

    I'd be looking at totally different cars to what you've had before, if they're comparable then you'll never appreciate them as much as the better ones you've had.

    Nothing useful to add in terms of suggestions though.

    Drop your budget much lower and see how much fun you can have with less than 4k total , which was less than a few months depreciation on some of your previous rides. House is the most important thing now and rightly so.

    Search donedeal with search set at min 2.4 litre and max price 5000 and see the ridiculously good cars you'd get for 4 k cash. Good luck .

    Markus, hello and welcome to the real world, you have so much joy awaiting, when you hold your first child, and look at your wife you will know real joy. it might be awhile before you even care about which car you have.
