Recently had some 5amp sockets put into our living room which we want to use for lamps and have a switch on the wall to control them. Just wanted to check is it just a matter of buying some 5amp round pin plugs and swapping the plugs around on the lamps, or is there anything else we need to check or be aware of before doing it?

    Thanks!

yeah it is, assuming they are wired correctly by your electrician, just make sure you still have brown to live terminal blue to neutral and the green yellow to earth when making the plug off.
