So a few friends and I have been considering going for a golf outing soon. Some used to be members of a club but currently none of us are. I still have to check but I am not entirely sure if any of us have an official handicap. Some clubs I know require you to play with at least one member of the group having a certified handicap. How strict are clubs on this rule? As I said I am not entirely sure if the rest of the group have a certified handicap. So just wondering will it come to a point where we'll be told we cannot play because of this? Thanks in advance!

Unless it's Ballybunion or Portmarnock you'll be fine.

I have never been asked even for my GUI card once on this country at a course for a casual round.

    Relax and enjoy.
