    I got insured on my Manta to cover me here when im back the weekends or when i have no work, as im traveling to and from Wales on a regular basis (working in wales). What is SDP policy?

    It wouldn't cover commuting to work, but it's debatable that they would consider occasional weekend travel from a ferry to your home commuting. Ask them, if you're uncertain.

    family visit is sdp surely. I'd say you are OK...they have to honour the third party cover anyway, and that's the legal minimum cover you must have.
