Fake G-Shocks on Adverts

I am not normally a fan of G-Shocks but I was going to pick one up just to have one tough watch handy. I was browsing through adverts and found a few different ones that peaked my interest and then done a little googling to find out about the models and the first two that I checked out were fakes.

The colour schemes looked good but when I checked them out they were wrong, buttons in the wrong positions, example the button for the light would be in the wrong position compared to a genuine one.

It is possible the sellers do not even know that they have a fake because they are really good. If you are planning to buy on adverts or eBay check them out against the genuine pics listed on the mygshock website.

Report the adds unless they are selling very cheap which means they acknowledge their replicas. Be sure they are fake though first. Are there alot of different types of gshock? I have never had one.

Also make sure that they are not gshook etc. There are a lot of 'homeages' that use similar names and font's.

Price should have nothing to do with it, if they are calling them G-Shocks they should be reported.

A few examples currently on adverts, originals on the left hand side. I have no experience with G-Shocks at all but I can be a bit anal when looking at a new watch and tend to check things out before I buy them. I could so easily have dropped my money on these and been none the wiser and believed they were genuine.

As yet I have not reported them just in case someone else here would like to correct me on my findings. As I have already stated it is possible the sellers do not even know they are fakes/replicas and I didn't want to start a flame war on their sales ads.

GA-100-1A4, incorrect colour scheme a 20 dollar knock off.

GA-100-1A2, incorrect colour scheme another 20 dollar knock off.

GW-9300-1, this is a mudman and one of the more expensive in the g-shock range, I think these are normally cost around 250-300 dollars but are sold for little money on the knock off sites. Incorrect colour scheme and the light button is in the wrong place, from what I have read some of these tend to have fake solar panels and just use a regular battery.

    Buyer beware
