Studying in DIT Bolton Street - where to rent?

    Hi All,

    Im going to do my master in DIT, Cathal Brugha Street, Dublin 1 and Im looking for an two bed apartment to rent. As I don't know much about Dublin, I'd like to ask your help here. I have two kids currently in primary school and I'd like to rent in a family friendly area with schools near by. Any suggestions would be appreciated and thanks in advance.

    Just my uneducated opinion (as I don't have kids) but maybe you should start with schools....there may only be space for your children in particular areas/suburbs, so maybe concentrate on obtaining primary school places first, then look for a place to live nearby. Maybe someone else could chime in with school recommendations?

    As regards proximity to town, realistically anywhere on the Dart/Luas lines or on a decent bus route into town should be ok (or close enough to cycle). Obviously closer to town would be better for you, but of course this depends on a) availability of school places, and b) rent.

    Thanks, DoozerT6. That makes sense to me. I was feeling a bit frustrated and didn't know where to look. I will post on parenting section and ask the info about the school.
