Reddit sofware swap and you can get a windows key for $10 saving you 75+ euro to beef up your spec a bit :)

Thanks for that. Had a chat with the person ultimately paying for this, they were a bit uneasy, I've never used the service so couldn't recommend it one way or another.

The prices are tempting alright, might get one for myself even if they dont go for it !

In any case anything technically to watch out for with either of the two builds I posted?

They don't need to know that it's not an overpriced over the shelf copy of windows. They're perfectly legal from RSS, and there's no risk in buying as long as you go for someone who has sold before and has vouches.

    What about cpu coolers?

Both are perfectly fine builds but with 80 euro extra you could do some upgrading or else just have a nice chunk of change left over.

Yes I think they mostly had doubts about the legality and feared getting "shut down" by MS later.

I have a CM Hyper TX3 evo sitting round I was going to donate to the cause.

A chunk of change would go a bit on Steam for some games.

Ok After consultation, decision made, will give RSS a crack.

Going with the i5 build, runs cooler and is plug and play ( I don't end up being an IT helpdesk).

A few bob left over for games and everybody wins.

Thanks for the help everybody, much appreciated.

(Might do that AMD build for myself, some thing to fiddle with !!)
