Anyone know what is going on development wise with the Cabra Hills?

There is a marcon construction sign gone up on the gates.

I heard they had a proposal to build some apartments here which was objected to and also a Lidl or Aldi meant to be built there.
Wondering are they going to build some houses here at some stage?

Walked by there last week and thought it looked an awful waste of space, would be hopeful something is going to get moving there soon enough.

As far as i know they is planning permission for apartments and houses who ever bought it a few years ago allegedly paid €28 million for it and started to remove a lot of topsail from it .
At the top of Carnlough Rd the Cabra Rd end there are two semi detached houses blocked up that was to be the entrance in and out of the hills

    And apparently it's back on

    Dubblin City planning 2204/15

include the demolition of No.'s 2 & 4 Carnlough Road. The proposed development will consist of 387 no. apartments and 2,965 sq.m. GFA of commercial floor space .... A basement consisting of 679 no. car parking spaces .... . A new vehicular entrance will be provided from Carnlough Road, which will be facilitated by the demolition of No.'s 2 & 4 Carnlough Road and an upgraded junction between Cabra Road and Carnlough Road.

Saw this on the regular propaganda that comes round from Paschal Donohoe's office - apparently you should email him if you want details of a meeting for residents and planning officials. Also saw somewhere that the yard in back of Hanlons pub has been bought by Lidl and noticed recently that there seems to be work underway there.

I checked the planning application on the DCC site and it was withdrawn. There was an item in the Dublin people mentioning it but no further detail.
