    Did you give 30 days notice to your landlord?
    Is it a management company?

    Even if you never signed a lease I believe you might be liable for unpaid rent since you you've been occupying the house. You can definitely just try to leave and go back to home country- you will lose the deposit but that's probably the worst case scenario.

    The best case scenario is to try to find someone who can replace you- put an ad up on craigslist or kijiji. This way if the landlord is ok with it you'll be fine.
