Anyone using this clingfilm with netting and limited tyres/sandbags system of covering silage pits?would be gratefull for any replies.

have a lot of strong paddocks at the minute and its a pain in the hole to strip the pit every time.

Havent used the cling film but have used the green net with less tyres. Tried the net last year and put loads of tyres on in some places and less in others. The biggest benefit i found was having 2 sheets of plastic. Not the amount of tyres. The net does a good job and just needs enough tyres to stop it shifting.

according to the company that sells them this type of plastic is up to 50 times better at excluding oxygen from the silage as against the black plastic...which seemingly is not a very good oxygen barrier even with two covers /edge to edge tyres.. has anyone out there tried this platic yet ?
