    Hi all,
I just did a search but didn't find what I was after.
i had always streamed movies from my pc to my tv via vuze and my ps3 and it worked most of the time. unfortunately my ps3 is broken so I need suggestions for an alternative.
My Pc and tv are in different rooms and i am unable to wire them up easily.
My current set up is to stick the movie on a usb and then connect a laptop to the tv via HDMI and watch this way.
I have upc horizon box but am unsure that I can use it in the same way as the ps3.
    any help would be appreciated.

You could use a Raspberry Pi running xbmc.
There are phone apps you can use as a remote.

Cheapest way would probably be a chromecast

Get chromecast and install plex and it
Will work basically like a personalised version of Netflix which is pretty cool
