A guy I know has removed a clamp but damaged it at the bottom.

He brought clamps back before that were not broken but bringing this back with damage could incriminate him.

What should he do? Clamper rang the guy saying I know was you, no cameras tho, I will get fired, forget fee just bring it back.

    What should he do?

Even if they could prove that you removed the clamp, could they prove that you damaged it?

The clamp is sitting right there where the car once was. How odd.

Sometimes they reappear weeks later only yards the scene of the crime. Weird.

They put it somewhere it shouldn't have been.

I guess you should do the same. Put it somewhere it shouldn't be.

Bring it for a walk. Enjoy your time together, because at any moment, you'll feel the desire to set it free.....

Fly little clamp, fly away. You're freeeeeeeeeee!

My "Friend" has decided to get the clamp repaired by welding the broken part for 25 euro and then he plans to drop it off at car park.

My friend is trying to avoid revenge from the company.

Also, i myself have removed number of clamps without damage to clamp but always brought them back or left them back, but if there's a camera i wont remove it. Never been in that situation yet tho.

I was checking adverts, apparently there's people selling a good few clamps around and the ad says the chains are broken, lol

What revenge are you expecting exactly? Worst case scenario they will send you some letters maybe. They cant prove that you damaged the thing and even if they could they have little interest in seeing the inside of a court room in an effort to recover the repair costs.

So there'll now be a third party involved that knows your friend has a clamp in his possession. Not an improvement in your friends situation.
