I say people can get it tomorrow. Officially my payments become available on Tuesdays in my local post office. But I always collect Monday. Just easier for me.

So while this says Saturday officially. I would say reality is from 12am tonight / maybe tomorrow morning, payments will be released and then ready to collect.

I am going to go down in the afternoon. Suggest people do the same because you know yourself, you could go in the morning and be told it's not there. But reality is it could be there 3 hours later. So save yourself two trips.

I have no idea about Child Benefit payments.

Last month because of some European Payment Holiday the payments were on the Tuesday that they were due, but I'm not sure what is going to happen this weekend.

All I can say is you will know tomorrow morning. ;)

I don't think child benefit will be in tomorrow.it wasn't because of the European holiday that they weren't in last month,it was because of SEPA,so I can't see it being in until Tuesday.really hope I'm wrong though, would love it to be in!!!

I'd just expect it on Tuesday and start budgeting accordingly for any other bank holiday weekends.

I usually collect my allowance on a Monday. Does this mean I will have to collect it on Saturday 31st May.

I got a reply from ask aib..
If the payment is not there this morning fri 30th then it would not be there till tuesday.
Which makes no sense as payment was neva there on fri.
I then rang childrens allowance in letter kenny and was told that payments have been released and its down to the banks.
So im none the wiser really.
I'm not complaining but when I ask a question it's nice to get a clear answer.
So I guess I'll jus say tuesday.

My wife is with Ulster Bank.

Usually we would have to wait until early Saturday morning to find out.

We expect it to be there Tuesday anyway, but if it's earlier, great, if not, Tuesday is grand.

Due to SEPA, child benefit will be paid Tuesday for most claimants

Im with Aib and its not in...so annoying !

I have already closed one thread on this forum re: child benefit and when it reaches their bank account. I do not want this thread to descend into the same bickering mess.
Child benefit will be paid on Tuesday. There is to be no more discussion of child benefit payments on this thread/forum. If people wish to discuss SEPA and how it affects payment to their accounts, I'm sure there is a much more suitable home somewhere on boards.ie that is not State Benefits.

I'm also with aib and I've nothing, not even in my pending transactions. Which is weird because apparently they have been sent to the banks.
At the risk of sounding a bit stupid, what exactly is SEPA?
Are we just never getting our allowence early on a bank holiday again?

THIS!!!! Unless you're with BOI you will never get your child benefit early into your bank account again.
