Pain in feet after effort

Hi, been having a problem recently with pain in my feet after going from a hard effort to easy spinning. It goes if i unclip for a second and ive tried adjusting how tight the straps are but it does nothing. I use Northwave Extreme and have had them for 2 years so no problem there and my position has been the same since. Is it possible that going from grey to red look cleats could cause pain? Its in both feet btw and only started recently. Anyone had any problems like this?
    Thanks

(Mabye im getting too powerful and the soles of my feet cant cope? ;) )

I used to get pains in my feet, specifically across the base of my toes after a tough ride. Off the bike I was instantly fine, but within a day or two of a particularly strenuous ride I was able to reproduce the pain when standing in bare feet by rolling my feet in a bit. From this I reckoned the my issue was lack of support in my (high) arches.

I changed from the Specialised insoles that came with my shoes, which are the red ones with the least arch support, to the green version with the greatest arch support, and this largely solved the problem for me. I still get a niggle now and again so I'm planning to try mouldable insoles next to see how they compare.
