I dont know if this is the right forum, so mods feel free to move.

I have missed a psych appointment and also an psychologist appointment, and the reason for this was I was too depressed to go. The thoughts of having to sit there talking about my problems, I , I just couldn't do it. And now I really regret it.

Do you think it could be possible if I could go up to the Primary Care centre to talk to someone and explain my situation?

    Hi op

The primary care team have missed appointments on a regular basis ,and they fully understand how hard and difficult it is to take the steps you are taking.

they are professionals who have trained ,worked to have the titles of they have
But they are first and foremost human beings ,who understand ,care ,and are compassionate, who know how hard it is to open the door and walk in ..

I once made an appointment like you and never showed up ,and i made it bigger in my head.. "i leave them ,I'm to embarrassed to talk to them "
"Im better now" "they have better things to do than mind me" were part of the thoughts i had in my head.

A week after the appointment,a nurse turned up at my door, asking if i was ok,wanting to know if i needed any support..we had tea a chat and a rebooking of a appointment which opened the door to a better life

when you ring them to rearrange appointment, they won't ask about why you didn't show up.
they will listen if you want to tell them and they will understand
They are there to help me and you ,when theres a tough road

Thank you so much makes me feel a whole lot better, like you I too make it seem so big in my head, and by not turning up I've made myself worst.

Thank you again for all your kind words
