Tk maxx pt hours ?

    If anyone knows of the usual hours you would get working in tk maxx part time id like to know as ive been only offered a 8 hr min contract but in reality id need atleast 27+ hrs a week to make it worth while

    8hours min basicly means, that no matter what happens through out the week, they are allowed to offer you 8hours and no less
    but just because your on an 8hour min contract doesnt mean you will only get 8hours
    just means the employer is covered if they don't have any hours to give people they can cut them down
    for example, in argos I got offered a 6hour contract
    but in reality I was working 30+ hours a week

    also when it came to getting my xmas bonus, I only got my contract hours worth of bonus haha so their quite sly with that as well

    but who knows you might only get 8hours , best of asking, they should of explained this to you to be honest.

    Presumably in the weeks when you get only 8 hours, they will be spread over a day or two, so you will go on casual dockets and continue signing for the other days.

    Thanks for the reply, mehh sounds too messy.. Its quite a distance with no parking it would kill me to get 20 hours or less.. as your technically not allowed leave employment an get job seekers.. The dole could save some money and let me give it a trial but they said i wont be able to leave and jump back on js if it did workout 16 hrs or so a week so i think ill just stick to looking for full time work.. Unfortunately
