Anyone successfully reclaim VAT on an electric fencer, had to buy two recently and could do with some 'cashback'!

Once it a mains (not battery) fencer should be no problem. Wont it be fixed to wall in shed and that one of the criteria for reclaiming vat on purchases. Send receipt away anyway (think you need €100 worth). They can only say no, then ring them and question it

A question, how are the costs of electricity installation treated ie Esb cost and electrician from an unreg vat point of view? Are they part of capital expenditure?
    Thanks
