Xbox 360 HDMI issues

I have an older generation xbox 360. I have been using a hdmi cable to connect it to my TV for quite some time and all has been well. Recently I got my mitts on a set of wireless gaming headphones. For various reasons which I won't go into the headphones only work with the old school scart output which is fine for late night gaming but now when I want to revert to hdmi my xbox doesn't want to know about it.

What I need is information on how to get it talking to the TV via HDMI or at least reset it's video settings so it's open to the idea of an alternative !!

    Thanks in advance

    Hi

What you have to do is take off the external housing(Prise it off with a screwdriver/knife) of the scart lead (The end that goes into the Xbox) and put some tape (Sellotape will do) on the two very left gold contacts.

This blocks the video signal and only allows sound to get through to the headphones/TV and your HDMI will do the Video

You will probably have to leave the housing off the scart lead as it will be too fat to fit in with your HDMI too.
