Do your selections as a heinz or in a placepot so at least you have a bit of interest even if a few lose.

No point in doing a placepot your jackpot bet will become a placepot one if all your lines place

The Scoop 6 is 2 bets, a jackpot and placepot. I fear to think the amount of people who have chucked a winning placepot ticket not realising that.

The scoop 6 is a pool in its own right, it doesn't matter what courses the 6 races are run on. Perhaps I used the incorrect terms. 1 part of the bet is a "win" bet. The other is the "place" bet. That's why it costs £2 per line.

    i get you , cheers

Technically its actually a three part bet, the win fund, the place fund and the bonus fund!

How do you place it in the shops? Is there a special slip or do you just write it on a docket? And finally can you place it today or do you have to wait till tomorrow?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,507 ✭✭✭ArtyC

Are you sure about ladbrokes- they call it shoot six?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 713 ✭✭✭newuser89

I'm on the tote ireland website and there's no link to place scoop 6 bets.
Can you only do it on the day

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 4,744 ✭✭✭diomed

Have a small share in a syndicate on irishpokerboards for this. A little over £80k in the pot to go on today. Small fry compared to some of the big syndicates but hoping for a decent sweat anyway

What would the odds be for a rollover

They are certainly being whittled down. An outsider here and it would look doubtful. Gladiatrix (33/1) holds just 14 tickets!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 21,625 ✭✭✭✭Johner

    I won.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 562 ✭✭✭Reedsie

Joyeuse was the popular one there.

    646 left in I think

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 562 ✭✭✭Reedsie

I think that last race was a bit of a decider of sorts. 5 non runners and changing favourites. A lot of people lucky to end up on the winner but it kept a lot of people in the game.

Khelman and Johnny Cavaglin in the next both hold over 120 tickets. Even the rank outsider has 6 tickets going into the last.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 562 ✭✭✭Reedsie

122 tickets going into the last.

I'd say the fav is carrying a lot
    Fancied by every tipster

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 562 ✭✭✭Reedsie

Every horse covered except 50/1 outsider Grevillea

32 tickets on the favourite as it stands.

    Ah sure what's the point!
They won't even get a million each!

Hopefully a small stake punter gets a share as opposed to the big syndicates.

    Grevillea trading at 40.0

Hope you backed them aside from the Scoop6 Joekers. You won't get any return from your Scoop6 bet.

    Ah sure what's the point!
They won't even get a million each!

How many of those 32 tickets on the fav would be syndicates, So it would even be less, It would be nice to win though
