I think the first one, if you are going to sea a 25 hp would be a lot better than a 9.9 also having a closed cabin is very handy when the weather turns bad and gives you the option of overnight trips when inland cruising.

Many thanks. What is your opinion on the first boat? I think its fair at that price?

It's not bad I'd say there is a bit of bargaining room on it, I would be a bit worried about the trailer and am not sure if it's road legal, it might be ok as a launching trailer but if you will be taking long trips from your home to the sea or inland it may not be up to the job.

    What about these ones?

I think this one looks a little shallow for sea use. What do you think? wont be going on coastal waters unless weather is fine however don't want to get caught out in changeable weather.

May be this one is more suitable?

Boats are only worth the engine on the back so spend as much as you can on the best engine unless you are good working with engines :D You also have to think about what you will be towing it with some of these boats and trailers will be a bit heavy for a car. The top one I like for the trailer the bottom one for the engine :)

I have a Isuzu 4x4 for towing the boat. Which now makes me wonder what the weight of this boat would be http://www.donedeal.ie/boats-for-sale/nice-18-ft-boat-for-sale/6723533Would the new laws relating to trailer weight effect things.

I agree with Fergal, and if it was my choice i'd lean towards the one with the Yamaha too over the others. More reliable and better quality engine IMO.

Not a bad price for this one , you might even have enough left over to buy a new engine :)http://www.donedeal.ie/boats-for-sale/cabin-cruiser-from-500eoutboardtrailer/6933256

i think the first one is a better choice all around, nice sized boat engine will have plenty of punch but do make sure what ever you buy it is seen running for a while and is pumping plenty of water.

theres n reason to get stuck in bad weather check the weather met.ie

I love the first one, not alot of access around the sides or to the bow, cabin is small enough and the engine takes up alot of space, probably chancing their arm abit with the price but it looks a solid boat. If you want a boat for sea then high bow and sides are important criteria. I personally wouldnt be comfortable in anything smaller than 18 ft a couple of miles off shore but depends on the type of boat.
