Canon G16 or Canon G1x

Hi guys, Has anyone any experience with either the Canon G16 or Canon G1x? Looking for a high end compact, with HD video, i have a Canon 450d already, but sometimes its about annoying to be carrying around, and it doesn't have video. Any help appreciated.

Focus time for G1x is incredibly slow,

for high end compact personally i like the Sony Cybershot RX100 II
