Changed passport since booking; trying to check-in online

    Hi Guys ,

I'm travelling with 2 friends to America in October with British Airways , Flights are already booked since Jan.

One of my friends has a new passport since , and the passport number is different. I have trawled 'Manage my booking' on the British Airways site and cannot see anywhere to edit/update info. I do,however, see where we need to add 'additional passenger' info and in here , among other things , they ask for passport number , expiry date and so on.

Will it be enough to just add the new details here when adding this info or do I need to do anything else? Im just afraid if I fill this in for my friend then the info we originally entered when booking is different there will be an issue but I don't see anywhere else to put it.

I have emailed them but they advise they generally do not rely to emails , rather just take the info as feedback. I also tweeted them but no reply as of yet.
    Can anyone advise me?

    Thank you

Are you sure you input passport details at the time of booking? From memory that only needs to be input on check-in.

To be honest im not sure if it was the passport number but we defiantly entered some details from the passport as I rememberer on of my friends didn't have it with her and she had to ring home to get some details from it when we were booking.

We would have surly entered the expiry date tho , and this is also now changed.

British Airways tweeted me back with a link saying contact customer service. I clicked on the link and it had that precious page with loads of B/A contact numbers so I was fine with this and was going to ring. I have since clicked on the link they sent me but now its only bringing me to their feedback page!
