I saw horses riding yesterday for the first time...

    Jaysus the stallion had some yoke on him..
    My auld lad has a mare that was in season and organised these boys to arrive with a stallion yesterday evening..
    Anyway the boys arrive in a jeep & horse box, get out and get the mare into position.. one lad goes back out to the jeep to get the horse out of the box.. fair kicking and screaming out of him and then boom.. there it is, a big wobbly micky about three foot long flopping from side to side as he gets brought to the mare.
    All over in twenty seconds :D

    I saw this on a stud farm once, the guy in charge of the stallion punched him two or three times - I'm still not sure what the point of punching the stallion was?

    Sometimes I think I'd like to live in the country, enjoy a change of pace, stop and smell the flowers, get to know the neighbours, maybe farm a small patch of land. Then I wonder what I'd do for entertainment in the absence of cinemas, nightclubs and pool halls.....and a thread like this comes along to answer the question for me and I am so glad I live in the city.
