    Fcuking idiots.

You have to wonder do people like this having a brain at all, writing an article complaining about someone else's implied spoiler then proceed to spoil it themselves.

Have read the books, knows what happens so I had a look.

Its one thing putting a spoiler in the paper the day after broadcast but thats shocking. There hasn't even been a reference to the event or anything like it in the show.

I might even send Jess Denham an email about this. Its very rude and inconsiderate.

It's crazy, I mean the 'spoiler' they're complaining about isn't actually one at all, it would mean nothing without book knowledge but they stll go ahead and post actual spoilers:pac:

Fair play to you for posting this OP, at least now some people here will be able to avoid it.

The headline doesn't give anything away but if you're a non book reader DO NOT click into and read the article!!!

They do have a spoiler warning at the start of the article to be fair, don't see the big deal.

In big letters at the start of the article:

    Warning: Contains possible spoilers

So I don't see the big deal.

It's like a red button with 'don't press' on it, if someone sees the article in front of them in the paper chances are they'll look down at the article.

If I knew there were spoilers for TWoW on a website somewhere I'd avoid it but if I turned the page in a newspaper and saw a headline for it, I'd probably look.

'Possible spoilers'..ffs either it is or it isn't. The way they've phrased that some non readers would probably take a look thinking it's something that's already been shown and that they're just warning people that might not be up to date with the show.

Yeah "possible" spoilers. Its just very inconsiderate and If I hadn't read the books Id be a little peed off. My issue is that its a big event in the book, as big as any event that has happened before. I know I had to read the chapter 3 times to believe it.

Its just a little unfair and I don't think "contains possible spoilers" followed by a pretty big whopping yet to be reference in the show spoiler as a get out of gaol free card for posting something like that.

"Possible spoiler" is very very different to what they actually wrote, which is a massive and most definite spoiler. What an idiot. Especially as the instagram picture they're referring to is weeks old and they were obviously just looking for something to fill column inches with.

Muppets, just remove the words in braces and the article is fine, book readers will know non-book readers still won't, how thick can they be?

    True -
I've read the books; this does happen
. I'm not in the country, but does the print edition have the same thing on it? It can't be spoilered if its on paper...

    Muppets.

Now that is stupid as hell by the Indo!
Feckin delighted that it appears to be happening this season though, the wife will go into meltdown as "you know who" was one of her favourite characters.

LOL just checked her Instagram account and this picture was posted 4 WEEKS ago!!! Slow news day obviously in the Indo!

I haven't seen the print version, but I don't see a problem with it as long as they have the spoiler note fairly clear.

it is not a 'possible' spoiler it is a great big f-u spoiler to all non-book readers as it has not even been hinted at in the show. all they had to do was not include the 3 words in braces and it would be fine. click.bait.

What she did is no way a spoiler, but what the Indo did is a huge spoiler.

What's with the irish press spoiling things! There was a huge GoT spoiler on The Saturday Night Show. The Irish Star gets great joy in printing pictures and story's from the filming of Love/Hate that totally spoil and ruin the show. And now this from the Indo!

god that is funny...and non subtle!!!
Those who have read George RR Martin’s original A Song of Ice and Fire novels know that the symbol could be a not-so-subtle reference to forthcoming character Lady Stoneheart (a zombified Catelyn Stark).

I know people like reading about their favourite shows and everything, but if I hadn't read the books there's not a chance I'd be reading anything online or in the papers about the show for this exact reason.

I think that's the difficulty with a show that's based on books like this - there's so much information out there, but it's not mainstream like, say, Lord of the Rings, or Harry Potter - the majority of viewers already knew what was going to happen before the films came out. Not so here, I think - there's a lot of GoT viewers who've never read the books, and many who probably never will. So spoilers like this are more common and more problematic.

Sh*tty on the part of the Indo though.
