Surprised there was no thread on this. It's mostly shot in Dublin (Irish-Norwegian production) and is directed by Erik Poppe. It stars Juliette Binoche, Nikolaj Coster-Waldau and Larry Mullens even has a small role. Binoche plays a war photographer who's family don't deal very well with the danger she continues to put herself.

I really liked it. It's far from a classic but it's a very interesting story, well told. Some of the acting is slightly jarring, given that the rest of the performances from the seasoned actors are beat perfect but that kind of gives it some charm for me in a way, in what is after all, quite a low budget movie (€8m or so).

Yet another film that looks like it will be in and out of the cinema before you know it, but well worth seeing if you get the chance.

Be interested in hearing what others thought of it also.

The first 15 minutes or so were some of the best I've seen in a long time on a cinema screen. Very little dialogue and really powerful scenes.

It's a shame that it's a bit of a slow burner after that. I was distracted from some of the ham acting. Found the accents really distracting.

    Picks up again
when they go to Kenya and when she goes back to the place she started out.

I wasn't bored necessarily. I was just a bit let down by how flat everything seemed to get after the first 15 minutes. A real shame.
