New windows install

    Just ordered a 120gb ssd.
    When it comes I want to install a legit copy of windows 8 on it.
    I currently have Win7 on a 500gb hdd and a 1tb games hdd.
    I have a windows 8 pro key a friend has giving me.

    What way should I go about it?
    Should I Download win8 and put it on a usb,
    remove my main hdd and put the ssd in
    install win8
    then put the 500gb back in as a slave?
    Anything Im missing ?

    Nope, that's about what you should do. Just make sure to pull all the drives except the SSD and USB stick out when you're installing the OS so boot info doesn't get put somewhere it shouldn't.
