Hi folks, I'm sure you get a whole load of these threads, but its my turn to ask!

The speakers in my flatscreen TV are understandably gash, but instead of getting a small system I'm wanting to splash out a bit on something a little bit better. So I'm thinking of investing in my first amplifier and some decent floorstanding speakers.

Why floorstanding when I live in an apartment? They're bigger. Bigger speakers are generally better at lower volumes as far as I know, and I don't want to shake the neighbours bones out. They'll be going near a TV in the corner of the diningroom/lounge area.

Anyway, based on reviews I've decided that these fit the bill nicely and I'm just wondering if someone would tell me if it'll all work together. I've verified the DVD player and UPC all have the requisite outputs.... the TV itself only has Digital Optical Out (bloody stupid) so I know I can't connect that to the Amp.

Am I missing anything here? Will all this stuff fit and work together? Obviously I can get more cable and plugs.

    Thanks a mil!

Yes they will work together, however like you stated it'd be the case of an RCA to 3.5 cable and bottom quality sound ( Earphones to aux / phono in) .
The 520 is obviously a bottom end amp, so as a stereo amp is rather lacking and the speakers are probably as rough. However as TV sound, it with the floor standers should give a massive lift to the TV
Loads of possible other ideas but as a set they work well for TV use

Bought the Hyundai speakers returning them today as they were damaged on the front, all 4 of them.
However they are brilliant speakers otherwise and produce a great sound especially at the price so would recommend.
