Susi second year application query

    I don't think I am eligible as a mature indendent candidate this year(year 1). Can I apply for a susi grant as of the beginning of year 2, when i will be eligible.

    Yes you can, so long as you didn't receive a grant in first year. You can't switch the type of candidate you are once you've started receiving a grant.

    Possibly - SUSI helpdesk would be able yo give more information.

    It was so much easier to blame it on Them. It was bleakly depressing to think that They were Us. If it was Them, then nothing was anyone's fault. If it was us, what did that make Me?     Your status is linked to the year you start the course. if you were starting year two this Sept your status would still be linked back to entering year one last year.
